Mission Statement:
We provide hope to those who think life is not worth living. We help prevent stress, depression, abuse, violence, and suicide.
Organization Description:
As a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization, we offer outreach programs that deal with todays most pressing emotionally based social needs for grief relief and anger management.. We have a direct toll-free hotline for suicide prevention with counseling and proven life-saving materials, and offer coordination and referrals to other agencies as needed. We dispel myths and false beliefs of an unearned peace after death on the Other Side that can lead people into wanting to commit suicide. We teach insights into how to create love in an unfair world, and unique coping skills, which empowers those at risk with love of self and others, empathy, and the wisdom of an after life perspective to better care for themselves, their families, pets, and environment. We provide inspirational tools as stepping-stones to build bridges of cooperation that strengthen us, our families, communities, and our nation.
CORPORATION INFORMATION
This corporation is a non-profit corporation and is not organized for the private gain of any person. It may receive, hold and disburse gifts, bequests, devises, and other funds for these purposes. It is organized and operated under the Non-profit Public Benefit Corporation Law exclusively for public and charitable purposes within the meaning of Section 501 (C) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
A NEED FOR THIS SERVICE
Suicides are increasing at alarming rates and climbing. Since the 1960s suicides for young people between the ages of 15 to 24 have increased by nearly 300%. It is estimated that 5000 adolescents take their own lives every year, another 50,000 to 100,000 attempt suicide, and between 200,000 and 300,000 (who will admit it) contemplate suicide. Suicide has become the number three cause of death among adolescents.
MAKING A DIFFERENCE
Hundreds of people have reported to Joyce Brown that they are alive today because of her efforts. She dispels the myth and false belief that killing oneself will automatically take that person to a place of lasting peace on the Other Side regardless of his or her actions. She has successfully helped many people of various ages and backgrounds decide that they wanted to live instead of wanting to die. She has helped them understand the value of their lives and that earth time is precious and limited. In addition, as time and travel permit, she speaks and shares methods to resolve anger, manage stress/grief, and How to Live Healthier, Happier and Longer with Truth and Wisdom.
